To Request a Burn Permit

Please read the Campfire Regulations prior to making your request and understand that permits will not be issued if burn restrictions are in place because of high fire danger.

  • First you will need to get your fire pit and location approved by the LFPD. Call Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to set up an appointment. Once your pit and location has been approved by the LFPD, you may request a burn permit.

  • A Burn Permit is required every time you want to have a fire. A Burn Permit can be requested for no more than four consecutive days per request.

  • Requests for burn Permits will be received and responded to only Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Submit your Burn Permit request at least two bussiness days and no more than seven business days prior to when you would like to have a fire.

  • Your fire permit can be emailed to you, picked up at the LFPD Administrative Office or it can be faxed to you. You must have the permit available on site when you burn.

  • After your fire pit and location has been approved, please fill in the form above to request your permit.

Thank your for your cooperation and remember that permits will not be issued if fire restrictions are in place!
