Station 162 painting nearing completion 10/01/2009

Exterior painting is nearing completion at station 162. The bay doors and other exterior doors will be painted to complete the new look. We still anticipate an early December open house. Stay tuned more to come.

Station 162 Update 09/01/09
|
|
Framing is complete, rough in of electrical and plumbing is nearing completion. Station 162 is anticipated to be completed for occupancy by early November.

Station 161 Update 09/01/09
|
Our construction is progressing well. We have moved out of the old quarters and remodeling has begun. We anticipate full completion by early November. Please visit the photo gallery for updated photo's.

Administrative Offices are Back 08/01/09
|
|
The districts administrative offices have moved back to 9414 Spruce Mountain Road. We will be holding our regular Board meetings here as well. Until construction is completed the public meeting rooms are NOT available.

Flooring and Paving nearing completion 06/23/09
|
The flooring for some of the interior rooms has been completed. Weight equipment and other necessities will be installed this week. Paving and concrete work have been completed for all areas around station 161.

Move in Date for Temp CO St 161 06/08/09
|
|
July 20, 2009 is the move in date scheduled for temporary occupancy of station 161. Wall coverings are completed and painting is beginning in addition flooring is being installed. We have several items to complete in the next 7 weeks but confidence is high that we will move in right on time.
After moving into the new portion we will complete the renovation of the older portion for the kitchen, day-room, and additional apparatus bay extensions and doors. An official Grand opening will be scheduled in late September or October.

Station 162 Construction begins 05/05/09
|
Construction on station 162 will begin on May 11,2009. Excavation will begin with some demolition.

Rough Framing Completed on North Side 04/10/09
|
Rough framing has been completed on the north side. The masonary is continuing on the south side and the second level floor is in place along with stairs.

Walls Beggining 03/18/09
|
The slab is complete and the walls are started on the north side addition. South side addition is just starting the masonary walls.

Foundation nearing completion 02/19/09
|
|
The foundation for the station is 70% completed. The crews are backfilling the north side and expect to pour the south side first of next week. After the foundation is completed the plumbing and other items will be buried prior to the final slab floor being poured. Stay tuned.

Footers being completed 02/05/09
|
|
The footers for both ends of the buildings at station 161 are being completed. The final grading for the slab and plumbing will be starting within the next week.

Old Administration Building Demolition 01/21/09
|
The demolition of the old administration will be completed by the end of the day on January 21, 2009. Construction will be moving forward with grading and construction of the new facility.

Demolition has begun 12/20/2008
|
|
Demolition of the training trailer and landscaping around the south side of the station has begun. Several folks have inquired about the firefighter statue. We are moving it to a new prominent location to be included in the entry way to the new fire station. Please stayed tuned for updates.

Demoltion Beginning 12/5/2008

Demolition is slated to begin at station 161 the week of December 8th. The process will be completed in several different phases therefore work will center on a particular aspect of the property. Stayed tuned for more updates and photo's.
