Brush 161 manufactured by Boise Mobile Equipment was placed into service in December 2008. It has a 300 gallon water tank with a 10 gallon foam cell, in addition to a spare tire compartment all made from poly. The pump is a Waterous diesel capable of delivering 250 gpm at 150 psi. B161 has class A foam capabilities using a Foam Pro 1601. As for hand tools and appliances Brush 161 carries numerous hose packs for progressive hose lays, a portable pump, chain saw, drip torches, and numerous other tools for wild-land firefighting. Brush 161 meets and exceeds the NWCG standard for a type 6 engine and will be available for national deployments.
